Modern House in Bath
Emma and Mark bought their 4 bedroom house in Bath in 2000. And have spent the past three years stripping out all signs of it's outdated 70's and 80's deco. They've had to contend with acres of woodchip and floral borders, chocolate brown glossed walls which were unpaintable, not to mention the gold lantern style light fittings and pink carpets!
Starting from scratch with no furniture they decided they wanted to go for a modern minimal look that would show off the fabulous light and size of the rooms. They started by painting everywhere white and chose modern furniture in glass and aluminium to reflect the light. They then added bright accents of colour with carefully chosen accessories.
Although all the rooms use the same basic colour scheme, they each have an individual look from the clever use of colour highlights.
